A running group in Oakland is on a mission to get people out the door early in the mornings. The incentives: community, easy miles, good conversation, sweet treats--and plenty of fun. The Lake Merritt Donut Runners, a group of marathon runners, have been a popular event in Oakland, California. The group is known for its consistent and fun run, with many training for a 5K, 10K or half marathon, and others simply running for the joy of running. Co-organizer Paul Yee says it's inspiring to see how people can connect with running in a way accessible and accessible.
