OAKLAND –An 18-year-old man was wounded after being shot multiple times in an East Oakland neighborhood Wednesday night, authorities said.

He was in stable condition at a hospital recovering from multiple wounds to his leg.

The shooting happened about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 7900 block of International Boulevard.

Officers responding to a gunshot detection system alert found multiple shell casings but no victim.
