Three things learned from Golden State Warriors win over Denver Nuggets: From Yaxel Lendeborg to Nikola Jokic
The Golden State Warriors won 134-114 on the road at the Denver Nuggets to earn their first game of the season. Here is look at three things we learned from the (1-3) Warriors win over the (1-2) Nuggets… Forget the sniping back and forth at Luka Doncic on his NBA debut, Yaxel Lendeborg is the real deal. The Golden State Warriors beat the Denver Nuggets 134-114, marking their first game of the season. Yaxel Lendeborg led the Warriors' scoring with 31 points, adding to his 26 points in the loss to the Suns. Despite a difficult start to the season for Golden State, Lendborg's performance has been a major highlight. Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets' star player, is only averaging 24 points to start the season, which would be his lowest PPG since 2019-20. The team's decision to criticise home fans for booing the team for a second consecutive game was also seen as a concern. The win does not necessarily mean the Warriors are contenders, but it does stop the bleeding.
