More than 140,000 people are living with Alzheimer's or some form of dementia in the Bay Area. The annual San Francisco Walk to End Alzheimer's 2026 saw over 2,000 participants participate in the event at Bayfront Park in Mission Bay. Over 140,000 people live with Alzheimer's or some form of dementia in the Bay Area. Over $1.2 million has been raised for research, support and care programs. Zach Fuentes, ABC7 Eyewitness News' media sponsor, emceeded the event for the second consecutive year. ABC7 also had a team, the ABC7 Memory Makers.
