Please join us at a community screening of the ABC7 Originals Documentary California's Case for Reparations. The evening's special screening and panel discussion is presented by Alliance for Reparations, Reconciliation, and Truth (ARRT). Thursday, April 11th from 5p to 7:30p at the Block Community Hub located at 1955 Broadway in Oakland. California is planning to address reparations for slavery and the lingering effects of anti-Black racism in the United States. The state is planning a plan to address these issues. A community screening of the ABC7 Originals Documentary California's Case for Reparations will be held at the Block Community Hub in Oakland on April 11th. The screening will include a Q &A moderated by ABC7's Julian Glover. Space is limited. Reservations are now open for this event.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Please join us at a community screening of the ABC7 Originals Documentary California's Case for Reparations. The evening's special screening and panel discussion is presented by Alliance for Reparations, Reconciliation, and Truth (ARRT).

California's Case for Reparations explores the history-making work of the first state reparations task force in the country. The documentary examines the state's role in anti-Black policies that extended beyond slavery and emancipation while uplifting the stories of Black Californians that stand to be repaired by reparations.

Reservations for the Oakland community screening of the documentary are now open. The screening will take place Thursday, April 11th from 5p to 7:30p at the Block Community Hub located at 1955 Broadway in Oakland. The Block Community Hub is conveniently located steps away from the 19th street BART station. The evening will include a screening of the documentary and a Q &A moderated by ABC7's Julian Glover.
