Democatic Oakland Orders 102 In Wheelchair To Remove Grafitti

The city of Oakland is facing criticism after threatening to fine a 102-year-old man in a wheelchair unless he personally removed graffiti that vandals did to his property. A 102-year-old man, Victor Silva Sr. was threatened with a $1,100 fine if he didn't paint over graffiti sprayed across his fence by vandals, and if he refused to do so, he would be fined $1.200 during each follow-up inspection. The city of Oakland has been threatening multiple fines for maintaining the fence white due to ongoing crime investigations. The mayor of Oakland, a Democrat since 1977, has been accused of being out-of-control and making citizens' lives unnecessarily difficult. This has led to the removal of graffiti from the property, which Victor's son, 70, says the city is so incompetent that it has placed him on hold in an emergency call system. Despite this, Victor's final years are now being consumed by cleaning up the city's mess.

Not only do Oakland Athletics fans have to deal with a team that hates them, but they also have to accept an out-of-control government that is hell-bent on making citizens' lives as difficult as they can, regardless of age.

Case in point; a 102-year-old man was threatened with a $1,100 fine if he didn't paint over graffiti that some vandals spray-painted across his fence. And if he refused to do so, he would continue to be fined $1,200 during each follow-up inspection.

Oh, and the guy is in a WHEELCHAIR.

You'd think the lovely city of Oakland would show him some mercy, or maybe go after the vandals that continue to reek havoc up and down the streets.

102-year-old Victor Silva Sr. says that he has routinely painted over graffiti that has been spray-painted on his backyard fence throughout the 80+ years he's lived in his house. However, in recent months he has had difficulty keeping up with the manual labor because father time is catching up with him. But the city of Oakland doesn't care - they'd rather Victor's final years be cleaning up THEIR mess, because the city is so incompetent as crime continues to rise.

The cleanup has now fell on Victor's 70-year-old son, who said that the city continues to threaten the family with multiple fines if the fence doesn't remain pearly white.

"It's hard to keep up with it because as soon as we get it painted it's bound to get graffiti on it," the son told a local FOX affiliate. In one instance, he says that he caught people vandalizing his family's business but when he called Oakland's 911 system, he was placed on hold.

Wow, Oakland is doing worse than I thought! Imagine calling 911, and you're put on hold in an emergency?!

"They can't answer 911, but they can take the time out and come harass you about your house?" Victor asked. "It's hard to understand where our tax dollars are going."

Oakland, by the way, has had a Democratic Mayor since 1977.

Oh, and they also have pirates in their bay.

Oakland's slogan is ironically "Oakland: Love Life," based on the city's "commitment to embody love as our guiding principle."

If this is what they consider love, I'd rather be single.
