Anyone remember this little tidbit about Oakland University? Alfred Wilson and Matilda Dodge Wilson donated their historic estate and $2 million to Michigan State University in 1957 to establish a satellite school, named Michigan state University - Oakland. The donation was part of a larger effort to build on the university's progress by establishing a new satellite school. The university's success came to light after a recent win over Kentucky.
