Passover begins at sunset April 22, but the fun starts long before then. If you’re searching for kid-friendly events in the Bay Area, look no further. The Bay Area offers a variety of kid-friendly Jewish family events throughout the year leading up to the start of Passover, starting at sunset on April 22. Passover in the park is a pre-holiday celebration and haroset tasting with snacks and a craft at Larkey Park, Walnut Creek. For families with 2- to 8-year-olds, Passover Fun for Families is a holiday event with Passover-themed stories, songs, and seder crafts for families with children under 5. The Passover Pajama Party will include Passover themed crafts, music and stories, and a breakfast-themed dinner. The Silly Singing Seder will be held at Temple Beth Abraham in Oakland. Other activities include a Passover Playground with holiday-themed activities and a Matzah Baby Boogie with stories, dancing, singing, matzah cover-making craft and goody bags.

Sunday Fun Day: Get Ready for Passover — Passover celebration with music, puppets, stories, schmoozing, snacks and crafts led by Jen Altman of Jewish Baby Network, Melita Silberstein of Wilderness Torah and Rebecca Feigelson of PJ Library. Matzah Baby Boogie — Jewish Baby Network and Carolyn Mulcahy of Congregation Sherith Israel host Passover celebration with stories, songs, dancing and seder plate craft. At Sherith Israel, 2266 California St., S.F. 10-11:30 a.m. Free, registration requested.

Passover Party — Jewish Baby Network and Rabbi Sam Luckey of Kehilla Synagogue host Passover celebration with music, dancing, singing, matzah cover-making craft and goody bags. At Lake Temescal, 6502 Broadway Terrace, Oakland. 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Free.
